ThingzSafe is developed and operated by Jaffa Brown. Email admin@thingzsafe.com to request deletion of your account and associated cloud data. Use the email address linked to your ThingzSafe account where possible.
Include these details
- The email address used for your ThingzSafe account.
- Your name and whether you are the household owner or an invited member.
- Whether you want your own account removed, or you are asking as the owner to close the whole household.
- If you cannot email from the registered address, a way for support to contact you through that address.
We will verify that you control the account, normally by replying to the registered email address. If that is unavailable, support will explain another verification method. Never send a password, Google Play password, email PIN, one-time code, payment-card number or identity document by ordinary email. The request is not completed until support confirms its scope and completion.
If you are a household member
Removing your membership disconnects your account and registered devices from the shared household. It does not delete the owner’s household inventory or remove other members. If you created Things or uploaded files, those records belong to the shared household and remain available to its owner and members unless the owner requests deletion of the whole household.
If you own the household
Closing an owner household affects everyone in it. A completed whole-household deletion removes the shared Sites, Areas, Things, Contents, Parts, contacts, events, reminders, photos, documents and other household inventory from the active cloud service, and disconnects member accounts and device links. It also removes invitations and access to that household. Tell support explicitly that you are the owner and want the shared household closed; support will confirm the impact before processing.
What remains or has a separate retention
Deleting cloud data does not erase copies already downloaded to phones, encrypted backups or portable exports you saved; delete those copies from each device or storage location yourself. The current household cloud-purge routine does not delete the sign-in identity in Microsoft Entra ID, the ThingzSafe account row, Google Play purchase-verification/billing records, or the account-deletion request record. These are not automatically removed or given a fixed expiry by the current cloud-purge code. Account-level identity removal must be handled separately by support. The household expiry cleanup code uses a seven-day pending-deletion period after confirmed final subscription expiry; its production deletion switch is disabled, so this timing does not describe a completed production deletion or an email request. Azure database backup retention and the time for older backup copies to expire have not been verified. Support will confirm the applicable scope and timing before processing; we do not promise immediate erasure from backups.
Android option
In the app, open Usage plans and choose Request account deletion. If you are not signed in, the app opens this public page. If signed in, it records a request for support; that request does not itself delete your account or shared data. You may also use the email option above.
Google Play subscriptions
Deleting a ThingzSafe account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it separately in Google Play subscriptions. Subscription cancellation alone does not submit an account deletion request.
